At the heart of the historic town centre of Lyons-la-Forêt, the gastronomic restaurant La Licorne Royale*, is a reflection of the Norman products. The chef Christophe POIRIER insists on keeping it local. Thanks to him, the restaurant La Licorne got its very first Guide Michelin star in 2014.
His passion for cuisine drove him to different restaurants, such as Marc BOYER’s (one Michelin star), and was labelled “Jeune talent Gault & Millau” in 2009 and “2 toques Gault & Millau” in 2012. Christophe POIRIER won the gastronomic contest Prosper Montagne in 2015, and arrived first, before chefs from France, Canada and Japan.
You will dine surrounded by letters written by Napoléon Bonaparte and his marshals, beautiful helmets from the tsar court, and even rare leather clothes of an officer from Napoleon’s guards. This collection is a pretty decoration to one of the best cuisine in Normandie, where taste and aesthetic meet in the plate.
